Gallery 1, 'Exhibition of Works by the Late Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema R.A., O.M.', held at the Royal Academy in 1913. In the centre on the far wall can be seen 'The death of the first-born' 1872 [collection of Rijksmuseum]. To its right is 'Confidences' 1869, [Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool] followed by 'A Roman Amateur' 1868. To the left of 'The death of the first-born' is 'A Roman Picture Gallery' and to its left 'A Pyrrhic dance' 1869, [Guildhall Art Gallery].
