The photograph is of a bronze bust of Lord Overtoun [John Campbell White, Baron Overtoun] 1843-1908 which was possibly made for the Glasgow United Evangelistic Association for Bothwell Street, Christian Institute, Glasgow, now demolished. Below the photograph is a pencil inscription which reads 'Lord Overtoun. 1899'.The bust was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1900, cat.1926.
