He writes to express his deep concern for Lawrence; advises him to, amongst other things, discuss his evident melancholy with friends and not keep it to himself; discusses arrangements for Lawrence to meet Horne Tooke and so Godwin's "awkward circumstance" can be resolved, Tooke is at Mr. Bonney's.
