Content Description

Calling for the Royal Academy to change the law allowing "outsiders" to send eight works to the selection committee of the Royal Academy, by limiting them to no more two works. Three years ago a petition was sent to the Academy suggesting the limit be set at three. It was signed by nearly every exhibiting artist in London but was ignored by the Academy. Sir Frederic Leighton has disappointed those who hoped he would liberalise the Academy.
